I have the good fortune to lead a dedicated team of attorneys and paralegal advocates (with great support staff) at Connecticut Legal Rights Project. We represent low income people living with mental health conditions to protect their legal rights with regard to treatment, recovery, housing, education, employment & self-sufficiency. I know how important it is to be represented by someone who is a zealous advocate in proceedings that impact one’s liberty rights; my personal experience with a court-appointed attorney was less than ideal. Our team may be smaller as a result of state budget cuts, but we remain mighty.
